I’ve never been accused of being the eternal optimist. In fact, I’d consider myself a pessimist. Maybe a realist. It’s something I’ve been thinking about. And I think I’m getting better at seeing the positive side of things.
See? I called myself a realist instead of pessimist. Small steps.
We can get bogged down by all of the problems we have. Stuff breaks, things don’t work the way we expect them too, and we get frustrated. Frustration turns on blinders, where the only thing we can see are the negative.
It’s so easy to miss the wonderful things in life.
And that’s what this project is about: learning to recognize the good.
Here’s how it works. First, sign in using the following:
Username: Blessed
Password: Blessing
Then, post a word or two of something good in your life that you are thankful for right now. Anything. It doesn’t have to be profound. It can be as simple as air conditioning. Or as deep and meaningful as you want.
Another way to participate is through Twitter. Just post a simple tweet, adding the hashtag #cyb at the end of your post. That list will populate on the sidebar.
It started as a personal list. Then, evolved into a personal photo project. And now, something bigger. I hope you join me.
